A prerequisite to being a pillar of our industry is being environmentally aware and active. Gold Crust Bakery strives every day to protect and preserve our planet and to prepare for the future similarly, without at all compromising the quality of our process or products.
Gold Crust Baking Company’s brand new, 100,000 square foot, state-of-the-art production plant was built from the ground up, allowing efficient and effective use of green materials. LED lighting and clean, natural gas fueled ovens are simple examples of our efforts. As we continue to grow, we will continue to be forward thinking and innovative.
We do not take short cuts on our products, recipes or methods, and have continued that tradition in regards to our Environmental Footprint. Our roof installed solar panels generate 1,680,000 kW hours per year resulting in the largest solar install for any bakery manufacturer in the USA. The balance of our energy needs is puchased from wind farms, making us 100% green.
